About the event
What to expect: Once you arrive you will be able to play a few games and drink some fresh squeezed lemonade till it begins. The tour will be approximately a hour and will consist of quick viewing of the duck area as they play in the water and follow each other around. We will then move to the goat feeding and you will be given a small cup of feed to hand feed the goats. After everyone has had there turn we will move to the two alpacas for photos and petting. Due to the size of these animals the smaller kids will need a adult to hold them in order to pet the big soft and fuzzy friends. We will teach the group about chickens and the many interesting things about there life and structure of their society. The group will then spilt into two and form lines in front of the chicken coups. The kids will experience collecting there own carton of eggs which you will be able to bring home with you to enjoy. Once finished you will go to the outdoor game area again to wait until everyone has gotten to get there dozen eggs. In small groups you will be able to hold a pet a duck and a chicken in a contained space which is a close and up-close experience. This is an experience you cant find anywhere else in Pinellas County. Anyone in the farm area must have a ticket purchased in order to be in the designated farm day area. All adults not purchasing may spend there time in the plant nursery until tour is over. All kids less than 3 are free to enter as long as the adult has a ticket. In order to provide a better experience we have a max limit of 27 persons. So make sure your whole group will be able to fit in the day you desire. Birthday parties or special events are available upon request. See you at the farm!
