Ixora Maui (Red & Yellow)
Maui Ixora features showy red ball-shaped flowers at the ends of the branches from late winter to late fall. It has attractive green foliage which emerges light green in spring. The glossy oval leaves are highly ornamental and remain green throughout the winter. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
LANDSCAPE ATTRIBUTES
Maui Ixora is a multi-stemmed semi-tropical evergreen shrub with a more or less rounded form. Its average texture blends into the landscape, but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser trees or shrubs for an effective composition. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It is a good choice for attracting bees and butterflies to your yard. It has no significant negative characteristics.
